Although Jeddah, which stands out with its luxurious life, is important with its port and being two hours away from the capitals of neighboring countries by air, its social life is largely dependent on religious traditions. The city, which hosts over a thousand mosques, stands out in the region with educational institutions such as the British International School, King Abdulaziz University, Arab Open University, Effat College and Islamic Fiqh Academy.
