Although written sources first mention Krakow, the oldest city in Poland where life began, in 965 AD, traces of ancient stone age life were found on Wawel Hill, in the city, during archaeological excavations. However, it is known that modern life in Krakow began in the 7th century by the Slavs. The city, which enchants its visitors who like to take cultural and artistic trips with its fascinating historical heritage, is also considered a favorite travel route with its natural beauties and interesting culture.

Krakow, named after the legend of the murder of a dragon living on the hill on the banks of the Vistula River by a prince named Krakus, is a city visited by millions of tourists with its historical structures consisting of Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance architectures. Krakow, which was the European Capital of Culture in 2000, was chosen as the "Most Undervalued City" with its young population, colorful and dynamic nightlife, ecological values, different atmosphere and rich in gastronomy as well as culture and art.

Kraków's historic city part, full of monuments, museums, churches and synagogues, has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1978. Wawen Royal Castle, which was built in the 15th century in Renaissance, Baroque and Gothic architectural styles and hosted Polish kings for centuries, is now used as a museum. The house of the dragon, which is said to be named after the city, is located in the garden of the museum where works such as the holy relics used by the Polish Archbishopric in religious ceremonies, Italian paintings, various items and objects belonging to the 17th century Turks are exhibited. The Dragon Cave, called Dragons Den, is flooded with tourists. Wawel Cathedral, another important place on Wawen Hill, was built by King Boleslaw in the 11th century in honor of Stanislaw, the patron saint of Poland. Panoramic view of the city can be watched from the Bell Tower at the top of the cathedral.

The area where Oskar Schindler's office is located has been serving as a museum since 2010 under the name Schindler's Factory. Emphasizing the difficulties of being a Jew living in the Nazi era, the museum is one of the most sought-after addresses in the city. The Old Synagogue, also known as Stara Synagoga, is located in Kazimierz District, which was an independent city from Krakow until the 18th century and was mostly inhabited by Jews. There are photo galleries of the Jews who lost their lives in the synagogue, which was built by King Kazimierz Wielki in 1335.

The Kraków Watchtower, built in the 16th century and surrounding the entrance to the city, was designed to be protected from enemy invasions. As one of the oldest market areas in Medieval Europe, there is a 15th century structure in Rynek Glowny Square, which is still in the heart of the city since 1257. Built on the square, Sukiennice is one of the oldest fabric markets in Europe. Sukiennice, which still sells jewellery, fabrics, handicrafts and ornaments, is one of the city's most popular shopping destinations. Do not forget to visit the St. Adalbert Church, an 11th-century structure, and the Basilica of the Virgin Mary, built in the 15th century, in the square. You can also visit the Clock Tower and the Rynek Underground, an archaeological museum, in the square.
