Transportation from City Center to Jinnah International Airport
Home to Jinnah International Airport, Pakistan's largest and busiest international and domestic airport, Karachi is the country's largest city and the world's 11th largest city with a population of over 18 million. Karachi, which is also the capital of Sindh province, is visited by two million people a year.
There are urban transportation options such as bus, taxi or car rental to get to the city center from Jinnah International Airport, which is 20 kilometers away from the city center.
Those who prefer to rent a car on their way to the airport can choose the most suitable vehicle for them from the car rental offices located in the city center, but it should be noted that traffic rules are not enforced in Pakistan. For this reason, it is useful to get an idea about the operation of the traffic before you go to traffic with your own vehicle.
Local buses and taxis, which provide an economical transportation to passengers, are also very attractive options for airport travel. Don't forget to negotiate with the driver before you set off, as the journey between the airport and the city center will take about an hour.

Transportation from Kolkata Airport to City Center
Kolkota Airport or Dum Dum Airport, officially known as Kolkota Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport), is the airport that is the center of all civil air traffic in East India. The Kolkota Airport, which serves a very crowded population, can be reached by using various transportation routes to the city center and the surrounding provinces.
The easiest of these means of transportation is the airport buses that depart frequently from the airport. Air-conditioned buses from West Bengal Surface Transport Corporation (WBSTC) run frequently between the airport and Kolkata. These buses leave for central places in the city such as Howrah, Esplanade, Garia, Santragachi and Tollygunge.
There are buses that depart with a frequency of 10, 20 or 30 minutes depending on your destination. The flights start at 08:00 in the morning and continue until 21:30 in the evening. The WBSTC box office is located on the arrivals floor of the 2nd Terminal building. The contact number is 033-25118238. You can check the official website for the timetable according to your destination.
When you come to India, it is not possible to experience a train. Kolkata Airport is connected to the Kolkata Suburban Railway system and is the first airport in India to join such a train network. The four-kilometer-long elevated track connects the airport station Biman Bandar to the Dum Dum Cantonment train station, passing through Jessore Road stop.
It is worth adding that there are plans to replace this not-so-good railway line with a metro system. You can find the timetable of these trains on the official page of the airport.
If you want to have a more comfortable journey, your best option is to use transportation applications such as taxi or Uber. The taxis here are prepaid, so you pay by telling your destination from the box office in the terminal building before you get in the taxi, and you get on the next taxi with the invoice given to you. Thus, the chance of your taxi driver to drop you in the wrong place is greatly reduced. You can do this from the taxi toll booths between gates 3 and 4 on the arrival floor. You can use this service 24 hours a day.
On the ground floor of the airport arrivals terminal, there are drop-off points specially arranged for transportation applications such as Ola and Uber. You can meet at these points with the vehicles you call from your mobile phone and go anywhere you want easily. In this way, you will have paid your transportation cost online and you will not have to worry about finding cash in a country you have just arrived from.
