Balikesir Edremit Koca Seyit Airport (Gulf Airport) is located within the borders of Edremit, which has a coast on the Aegean Sea, to the west of Balikesir. Koca Seyit Airport, which is preferred more frequently due to its proximity to holiday centers such as Ayvalık, Altınoluk, Akçay, Küçükkuyu, Ören, and Dikili, has been in operation since 1997.
