EgyptAir, the flag carrier national airline of Egypt, was founded in 1932 in Cairo, the capital of Egypt. Egyptair Check-In Procedures and Seat Selection
EgyptAir passengers can check-in via the mobile application, website, airport kiosk and airport counter. Internet check-in starts 48 hours before the scheduled flight time and ends 90 minutes before the flight. Passengers with only hand luggage can pass to the gate where the flight will take place, together with their boarding passes, after the online check-in process.
Passengers with baggage have to stop by the airport counter for baggage delivery, even if they have checked-in online. Passengers who will deliver their luggage and check-in at the airport counter are expected to arrive at the airport 3 hours before the scheduled flight time for international flights and 2 hours before for domestic flights, and to complete their transactions 90 minutes before the flight. On Egyptair flights, the gate closes 30 minutes before the flight.
Egyptair passengers can choose which seat they want to go to during their travel free of charge when performing online check-in. There is an extra charge for the emergency exit.
With EgyptAir's passenger loyalty program, EgyptAir Plus, passengers traveling with the airline earn miles on every flight. With the miles earned, you can benefit from advantages such as free flight tickets, flight class upgrades, lounge service, and extra baggage allowance. It is free to become a member of the EgyptAir Plus program. Program membership is started by entering the required information on the company's website. Miles can be earned by specifying the membership number before the flight, online or during check-in at the counter. EgyptAir Business Class passengers are entitled to two pieces of cabin baggage up to 8 kg, 1 piece of personal belongings and 2 pieces of free baggage up to 32 kg on their flights. Economy class passengers can carry 1 handbag up to 8 kg, one personal item and 1 free piece of luggage up to 23 kg. 1 piece of hand luggage, 1 personal item and 1 baggage up to 23 kg for economy passengers on domestic flights; Business class passengers are entitled to 1 piece of hand luggage up to 8 kg, 1 personal item and 1 piece of free baggage up to 32 kg. Extra baggage allowance, on the other hand, varies on the basis of weight and quantity, depending on the destination.

EgyptAir passengers can enjoy free catering in all ticket classes. The catering menu differs according to the flight distance and the time zone of the flight. Snacks, hot and cold meals, sandwiches and snacks, as well as hot and cold alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are also served. Passengers traveling with a baby or requesting a special meal should contact the company 48 hours before the scheduled flight time.
