Transportation from City Center to Samui International Airport

In these car parks, there is no charge for the first half hour for both cars and motorcycles. Different alternatives are used for transportation from the city center to the airport.

Taxis are frequently preferred for transportation from the city center to Samui International Airport due to the lack of public transportation and shuttle services. Taxis can be found in Ko Samui city center at any time of the day and you can reach the airport within 10 minutes with these taxis. In these taxis, where no night or weekend tariffs are applied, the airport transportation fee varies between 500 and 1000 Baht, depending on the location.
Rent a car
There are many rent a car agencies serving in the city center of Ko Samui. It is possible to reach the airport by renting a car through these agencies, but this option is not preferred because the distance between the city center and the airport is only 2 km.
Transportation from Muscat International Airport to the City Center
Bus
From the bus stop located on the opposite side of the airport exit gate, a bus departs every 15 minutes to go to the city center. It is necessary to pay 4 Omani rials (Approximately 8 -10 dollars) for the 35-minute journey to the city center. Bus tickets can be purchased from the toll booths at the station or inside the bus. Buses operate between 07:00 and 22:00. Buses; It serves between 08:00 and 21:30 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, which are official holidays in Oman.
Taxi
Because it can be used at any time of the day and is easily accessible, using a taxi from Muscat International Airport to the city center is frequently preferred by many passengers. The taxi stand at the airport exit gate provides 24/7 service to passengers. However, local taxis in Oman do not have a taximeter device. The driver is told the location to go and the price is taken accordingly. It takes approximately 12 Omani rials to take a 20-minute taxi ride from the airport to Muscat city center. Although there is no official night tariff, some drivers may charge 20% more at late hours.
