About Air Tanzania
Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL) is the national airline of Tanzania, IOSA certified and a member of IATA based in Dar es Salaam, headquartered at Julius Nyerere International Airport. Air Tanzania was founded in 1977 following the dissolution of East African Airways and has also been a member of the African Airways Association (AFRAA) since its inception. There are 8 aircraft in its fleet.
Air Tanzania Check-in Procedures
If you are traveling with hand luggage only, we recommend that you check-in online through the Air Tanzania website. With the mobile boarding pass, you can go to the gate. For airport check-in, it is required to complete the check-in process at least 2 hours before for domestic flights and at least 3 hours before for international flights.
Air Tanzania Baggage Allowance and Pricing
The cabin baggage limit is 7 kg. There is a check-in baggage allowance of 23 kg for economy class tickets and 30 kg for business class tickets.
Air Tanzania Seat Selection
You can choose a seat when purchasing or after purchasing your ticket. If you do not choose a seat, a seat number will be assigned to your ticket at check-in time.
