Transportation from the City Center to Turkistan Airport
Turkistan is a province of Kazakhstan, formerly known as Southern Kazakhstan. With the name change in 2018, the name of the province was changed to Turkistan, and its center was moved to Turkistan, one of the most important cities of the Silk Road.
Since Turkistan is a very important city for the Turkish world, it is a city that became the 2017 Turkic World Capital of Culture. It also has a fraternity agreement with Afyonkarahisar from Turkey.
The new airport of the new province, Hazrat Sultan International Airport (HSA), is an airport whose construction started in 2019 and was put into service in 2020. It is also known as Turkistan Airport. Since this newly built airport has not yet been integrated into the public transportation network in the city, transportation is provided by private vehicles, taxis or tour buses.
Since transfer opportunities to the airport are limited, you should first contact your hotel and find out if they provide you with a paid or free airport transfer before you start your trip. If your hotel does not provide a transfer, you can arrange this transfer from a trusted tourist agency, which you can find online.
To reach the airport from the city center, you can take one of the taxis waiting especially at touristic points. The city center is about 20 km away and this journey takes an average of 30 minutes. When using a taxi, be sure to agree with the driver about the fare. Do not use a taxi by turning from the road. Make sure to take note of the license plate of the taxi you take.
Since there are so many places to see in Turkestan, visitors who come here usually go for a car rental. Thus, they deliver the car they rent from the airport while visiting places such as Hoca Ahmed Yesevi Tomb, Sayram, Baidibek, Sayram-Ugam National Park and Kazygurt.
Transportation from Ankara Esenboğa Airport to City Center
Connecting the capital Ankara to the rest of the world, Ankara Esenboğa Airport is open to air traffic since 1955. Having many direct flight opportunities for both domestic and international flights, this airport is among the most environmentalist and modern terminals of Turkey. Located on the borders of Akyurt and Çubuk counties, transportation from the airport to the city center is carried out by land.
You can use public buses, Belkoair shuttles, taxis and car rental opportunities in order to get to the city center from Ankara Esenboğa Airport. Located 28 km away from the city center, it's possible to get to the city center by getting a taxi from terminal exits in about 30-50 minutes depending on the traffic density and your destination. There's an opening fee and a fixed fee for every km in taximeters in Ankara. It's standard for 24 hours.
Belkoair buses operate between the Airport, Kızılay, Ulus, Sıhhiye and AŞTİ (Bus Station). Belkoair buses departure in every 30 minutes from 5AM to midnight and in every hour from midnight to 5AM. They operate between AŞTİ (Bus Station)-Kızılay-Airport line.
Municipality's public bus EGO is also among options. EGO operated between Airport and Bus Station (AŞTİ) with its bus number 442-3 in every 30 minutes for 24 hours.
