The second option is to take the 8-A bus from the San Benito Neighborhood, from the stop on Alameda Manuel Enrique Araujo street, to Terminal del Sur, with a half-hour journey. After getting off here, you can cross the road and take the 138 bus from this point. But you have to be careful because there are two numbers 138, one of which does not go to the airport that says ARCO. From this point, it takes 45 minutes to get to San Salvador Airport with number 138.
It is a much more comfortable option to go to San Salvador Airport from the city center with taxis, which are quite expensive compared to public transportation options. Since buses are usually crowded, if you have a lot of luggage, a taxi will be a better option for you. From here you can take bus 266 and head south of the city. Tell the driver that you will get off at the “El Nuevo Diario” stop so that he will let you know when he arrives. It is possible to get to the Metrocentro station, that is, to reach the city center, by taking the bus numbered 114 or 120 passing through the El Nuevo Diario stop. On all buses it is better to either have full money or pay in small notes. Metrocentro stop is located two blocks from Plaza de Las Victorias Square, which is considered the city center of Managua.
