Transportation from the City Center to Rome Airport
There are train, bus, taxi, car rental and hotel shuttle options to reach Rome Airport from the city center.
It is possible to reach the airport from Termini Station, which is considered the most central place in Rome, by trains that have direct flights, both in a short time and economically. Leonardo Express trains provide express service on this line. FL1 Regional trains stop at some stops.
Termini Train Station and municipal buses that reach the airport from different parts of the city are economical options. However, when you consider the traffic in Rome, the bus comes in the queue as the next option after the train.
You can also reach the airport by taking taxi and car rental services from different parts of the city. For this, it is recommended to bargain with the taxi drivers and set off by agreeing on the money. Internet reservations are more economical for renting a car.
Transportation from Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport to Santiago City Center
Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport stands out as an easy-to-reach airport with its location approximately 20 km from the city center. There are many ways to reach the city center from the airport.
The easiest of these, of course, is to take a taxi. You can take two types of taxis from the airport. One of them is the taxi called Vía Controlada, which is under the control of the airport and you can get on by paying in advance, with a fixed tariff, in order to prevent fraud, and their color is blue. Others are taxis that serve with taxi meters and their colors are yellow-black.
In addition, Cabify and Uber companies provide service in this city and their prices are close to normal taxis.
Another option is to use the airport buses. There are two companies operating from the airport to the city. One of them, Centropuerto, organizes reciprocal flights between the airport and Los Heroes Metro Station. These flights are organized every 20 minutes between 06:00 in the morning and 23:30 in the evening, every day of the week, and every hour after midnight.
Another company, TurBus, organizes reciprocal flights to Los Héroes Metro Station between 06.00 - 22.30 only on weekdays.
One of the most suitable options for this journey is the shuttles that have offices at the airport. Although this minibus service, which leaves when full but takes you to your hotel, is more expensive than the bus, it stands out as a very reasonable option as it leaves you at the door of your hotel. The journey can take between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the location of the places where the dolmus passengers stay.
Although there is a metro in the city of Santiago, it is not possible to reach the airport by metro yet.
