Transportation from Quito City Center to Quito Airport

Although Mariscal Sucre International Airport is approximately 40 km from the city of Quito, it is quite easy to reach by using various vehicles in the city.

One of the most convenient ways to reach the airport is to take the private buses that run between the city center and the airport. These buses depart from the old airport, which is currently used as a park, and arrive at the new airport after about an hour's journey.

Buses depart every half hour on weekdays and every hour on weekends. Free internet service is available on the buses. One suitcase and one hand luggage up to 23 kg are included in the ticket price. You have to pay an additional fee for extra baggage. Tickets are available online or at the bus ticket office.

City buses to the airport depart from the Rio Coca terminal just outside the city centre. Buses operating between 05.45 in the morning and 21.30 in the evening take you to the airport in approximately 1.5 hours depending on the traffic situation.

You will not have any trouble finding a taxi, especially in the touristic center of the city. You can either turn from the street or ask the receptionist of your hotel to call a taxi for you. Taxis apply pre-determined price tariffs from the city center to the airport, and when traveling towards the airport, you pay 3-4 dollars less than the arrival schedule.

Transportation from Baku Heydar Aliyev International Airport to the City Center

Located approximately 20 kilometers northeast of the city center, Baku Heydar Aliyev Airport has two terminals. There are many alternatives for transportation to the city center from the airport, which has a brand new look after the renovation and maintenance works. You can see almost every point in the city by renting a bus, metro, taxi or car.

In Baku, a city frequented by travelers and tourists, the metro and bus network is highly developed. Therefore, buses and subways are used as the most preferred means of transportation in Baku due to their cheapness and trouble-free transportation to many parts of the city. Bus number 116 takes about an hour between Baku and Baku Airport.

Aero Express buses, serving between Heydar Aliyev International Airport and 28 Mayıs Metro Station/Central Train Station, are one of the most used means of transportation in Baku. These buses, which take 30 minutes from the airport to the city center, operate 24 hours a day.
