Transportation from Ordu City Center to Ordu-Giresun Airport
Ordu-Giresun Airport, which is the only airport built on the sea in Turkey and Europe, was put into service in 2015. The airport, which connects the Central Black Sea Region with Ordu and Giresun provinces and different cities of Turkey and the world, has been operating at high capacity since the first day it started to serve. The airport is located between Ordu's Gülyazı and Giresun's Piraziz districts.
To reach Ordu-Giresun Airport from Ordu city center, you can use HAVAŞ buses, taxis, private cars and car rental services.
The distance between the city center and the airport is 20 km. It is possible to overcome this distance in as little as 20 minutes by using a taxi or a private vehicle.
HAVAŞ buses provide an economical public transportation service. HAVAŞ buses, which serve according to the flight departure times, depart from the first stop 2 hours before the flight departure time. Kumbaşı Metro Turizm is the first departure point in Ordu and the Port Car Park in Giresun.
In addition, it is possible to reach the airport from the city center by renting a car, with car rental reservations to be made from the internet or rent a car offices.

Buses called TransSEvren go from the airport to the city center. These buses depart every half hour and reach the city center in approximately 30 minutes. The flights, which start at 5.30 in the morning, continue until 22 in the evening. The boarding fee of this bus, which passes through important points such as the municipality building and the train station, is approximately 10 lei. So it's around 1.5 dollars. There are also city buses to Blacksea Resorts.
Taxi
Thanks to the taxi stand located just outside the airport, a very comfortable journey can be made from the airport to the city center. The cost of this 30-minute trip to the city center by taxi is approximately 30 dollars. There is no night tariff application in the city.
