Transportation from the City Center to Corfu Airport

Corfu, or Ioannis Kapodistrias International Airport, is the only international airport on the Greek island of Corfu. The island has become an attractive tourism destination thanks to its proximity to other European countries and its magnificent natural beauties, and therefore the airport is very crowded and busy, especially in summer. Fortunately, transportation from the city center to the airport is very easy.

Bus line 15 is your only public transportation option to get to the airport. This line departs from Corfu Port, where cruise ships also dock, and arrives at Corfu Airport, passing first through San Rocco Square and then through the intercity bus terminal. If you get on from the port, the road takes an average of 4 km and takes 8-10 minutes under normal traffic conditions.

If you don't want to take the bus, your remaining options are taxi and private transfer. If you are going to use a taxi, you can take the next taxi from any stop, as Uber and similar transportation applications have not been used in the city yet.

Or your hotel can call one for you. If you are crowded and want to use a private transfer, you can book a private transfer from a reliable website or tourism agency and go to the airport comfortably from the door of your hotel.

Since Corfu Airport is only 2.5 km from Corfu city center, some tourists even walk this distance. It can be considered as a possible option if you don't have a suitcase or if it's light and the sun has softened a bit. If you have decided to walk, we recommend that you do not neglect your water, hat and sunscreen.

Transportation to the City Center from Barcelona-El Prat Airport

One of the most popular tourism centers in Spain, Barcelona is connected to various places in the world through Barcelona–El Prat Airport – one of the busiest airports in the country in terms of passenger traffic. There are several options for the transportation to the airport, located 12 km. away from the city center.

For the transportation to the city center from Barcelona - El Prat Airport, suburban trains, public busses, taxis and rental cars might be used.

There are two separate bus lines taking off from two terminal buildings of the airport. Public busses named Aerobus might be preferred for an economic journey to the city center. The bus lines called A1 and A2 are leaving at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 buildings respectively. Both lines are leading to Espanya and Catalunya squares in the city center. Operating between 06:00 am and 00:00 am, these busses are replaced by bus lines called N16 and N17 after the midnight.

You might reach to the city center by taking the suburban train line, R2 at the airport. You might transfer to other train lines to reach to other parts of the city inexpensively.

By taking a taxi at the terminal exit, you might easily reach to any part of the city. It is advisable to ask and negotiate about the prices prior to taking the taxi. The transportation to the city center by taxi approximately lasts 30 minutes.

It is possible to rent a car through car rental offices inside the airport or online booking services.  You should keep in mind that the city is facing a traffic problem.
