Transportation from Naha Airport to City Center
Okinawa Naha, or simply Naha Airport, is an airport serving the Okinawa region of Japan.
The easiest way to get from the airport to the city center is to use the Okinawa Monorail light rail system, which has a stop right inside the airport. Also called Yui Rail by the locals, this light rail system provides transportation to most of the sights in Naha, including the Airport.
Also, if you are going to take a direct bus from the airport to a further part of the island, you can get off at Asahibashi station and go to the very nearby Naha Bus Terminal. Shuri station is only a 15-minute walk from Shuri Castle.
To buy train tickets, you can use the ticket machines at each station, as well as buy daily or two-day passes, and unlimitedly ride all vehicles allowed by these passes for 24 or 48 hours. You can check all the stops of the Monorail from the airport's official website.

The airport is connected to the island by a very extensive bus network. If you want, you can go to Naha, or even further north of the island, to Ginowan, Ameku, Gushikawa, Nago, Ishikawa, Futenma, Ashibina, Kanucha and even to Churaumi Aquarium, the world's second largest aquarium in the northernmost city of the island, by bus from the airport. You can check the full list of names and contact information of the bus companies providing this service on the airport's official website.
You can also take a taxi from the airport to the city center of Naha. Taxis in Japan may be the safest in the world, but they are certainly not the cheapest. If you still want to take a taxi, you can find the taxi stands just outside the arrivals floor. Taxi stands here are divided into long-distance and medium-short path.
Depending on your destination, you can take a taxi at the right stop and set off. While most Japanese don't speak English, staff and taxi drivers, especially at airports and train stations, speak at least entry-level English. You can find the map of the taxi stops on the airport's official website.
