Transportation from Asturias Airport to the City Center
Asturias Airport (OVD) is the only international airport in Spain's Asturias region. It serves more than one city with its location right in the middle. These cities also include Avilés, Gijón and Oviedo.
You can go to Avilés, Gijón and Oviedo by buses departing from the airport. Some of these lines also stop in Piedras Blancas and Salinas. You can check which line you should take, when the buses leave and their fares on the official website of the bus company and on the mobile phone application.
As soon as you leave the airport from the arrivals floor, you will see the airport taxi stop. You can just go and get the next taxi without doing anything else. While taxis here have fixed prices for Aviles, Gijón, Oviedo and Piedras Blancas, they open taximeters for other destinations.

Although applications such as Uber and Cabify are widely used in many other cities of Spain, this service is not yet available in Asturias and its surroundings as of the second half of 2022. A fee slip is also provided upon request. Before getting into the taxi, clarify your destination and make sure to agree with the taxi driver how much you will pay on average. Make a note of the license plate of the taxi, just in case.
Since there are so many places to see in Asturias, you can also consider the option of renting a car from the airport. There are offices of four companies (Avis, Europcar, OK Mobility and Sixt) at the airport terminal. When you get off the plane, you can rent your car from these offices and go to the city center.
