Places to visit
Krepostnaya Gorka, meaning "Walled Hill", is a monument from the 1700s. The Statue of General Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov, who is said to have never lost a war, is among the important monuments of the city. The excavation area, known as Tatarskoye Gorodishche, was the settlement area of Tatars in history. The region, which is the largest archaeological area of the Caucasus, dates back to BC. It is seen as a common heritage of the 7th century Koban, Scythian, Sarmatian and Caspian cultures. St. Andrew's Cathedral, the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin, and Stavropol cathedrals in general, which are historical buildings from the 19th century, are also places to visit.
