Sivas, the second biggest city in in Turkey in terms of surface area, is a passage between the region of Central Anatolia and the historical Silk Road. Çifte Minareli Madrassa (madrassa with twin minarets), which is one of the most significant historical artifacts in Sivas, had been built by the vizier of Ilhanlı Kingdom, Şemseddin Mehmet Cüveyni in 13th century. The crown gate, which has 20 meters' height, differentiates itself from others with its stonemasonry.

The Congress Hall in Sivas, where the struggle for the independence of the Turkish Republic had been initiated, located in Istasyon Street. The place had been used as a military quarter for Independence War in year, 1919 and today, it is named as The Congress and The Museum of Ataturk and attracts visitors who are history enthusiasts. The building consists of 3 different flours where papers, documents and photographs dated back to the Turkish War of Independence and TheCongress of Sivas, as well as documents that were belong to Ataturk are exhibited.

The ancient city of Sarissa, dating back to the period ofHittite Empire, is located in the town of Altınyayla. The city that can be entered through four different gates makes you travel back in time.

One of the most famous native residents of the city, poet-singer AşıkVeysel is commemorated in the museum named after him, located in the village that he was born. In the house, which had transformed into museum posthumously and located in the village of Sivrialan, Şarkışla, personal belongings of the poet are exhibited.

Sivas, the city that is quite diverse in terms of natural wonders, is an intersection point where river basins of Kızılırmak and Yeşilırmak with different characteristics meet. In Sivas with rich local culture, weaving carpets, rugs and products with hair felt, silverwork, cutlery, knitting and rawhide sandal production are among significant handicraft works.
