Transportation from the City Center to Şırnak Şerafettin Elçi Airport
Şırnak Şerafettin Elçi Airport, which is approximately 10 kilometers from the Cizre district of Şırnak, has been serving the region since 2013. This airport, which facilitates transportation from other regions to nearby cities that do not have airports in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, is currently only open to domestic flights.
Şırnak Şerafettin Elçi Airport is located on the İdil-Cizre Highway. Public transportation is very limited to reach the airport from the city center. For this reason, it is necessary to use taxis or minibuses, connecting via Cizre and Şırnak.
Şerafettin Elçi Airport, which you can reach from Şırnak center by taxi or private car, has its own parking lot as well as a VIP service hall. Those who do not use taxis or private vehicles can reach the area by transferring via minibuses via Cizre.
Private transfer vehicles provide transportation support from Şırnak and Cizre to the airport according to flight times. In addition, it is possible to reach the airport in a faster and more comfortable way by taking taxi and car rental services.
Minibuses that run between Cizre and Airport cost 12 TL, while minibuses between Şırnak and Cizre carry passengers for 12 TL. With a transfer from Şırnak, it is possible to reach the airport by minibus for 24 TL. This journey takes at least 1.5 hours.
