Although Mariscal Sucre International Airport is approximately 40 km from the city of Quito, it is quite easy to reach by using various vehicles in the city.
One of the most convenient ways to reach the airport is to take the private buses that run between the city center and the airport. These buses depart from the old airport, which is currently used as a park, and arrive at the new airport after about an hour's journey.
Buses depart every half hour on weekdays and every hour on weekends. Free internet service is available on the buses. One suitcase and one hand luggage up to 23 kg are included in the ticket price. The most economical of these vehicles is the public transportation option, as usual. The bus named Winnipeg Transit runs reciprocal flights with the city center between 05:24 in the morning and 01:17 at midnight. To reach the bus platform, you must exit through door number three on the arrivals floor. Note that departure times may vary on weekends and public holidays.
