Transportation from Quito City Center to Quito Airport
Although Mariscal Sucre International Airport is approximately 40 km from the city of Quito, it is quite easy to reach by using various vehicles in the city.
One of the most convenient ways to reach the airport is to take the private buses that run between the city center and the airport. These buses depart from the old airport, which is currently used as a park, and arrive at the new airport after about an hour's journey.
Buses depart every half hour on weekdays and every hour on weekends. Free internet service is available on the buses. One suitcase and one hand luggage up to 23 kg are included in the ticket price. You have to pay an additional fee for extra baggage. Tickets are available online or at the bus ticket office.
City buses to the airport depart from the Rio Coca terminal just outside the city centre. Buses operating between 05.45 in the morning and 21.30 in the evening take you to the airport in approximately 1.5 hours depending on the traffic situation.
You will not have any trouble finding a taxi, especially in the touristic center of the city. You can either turn from the street or ask the receptionist of your hotel to call a taxi for you. Taxis apply pre-determined price tariffs from the city center to the airport, and when traveling towards the airport, you pay 3-4 dollars less than the arrival schedule.

One of the most popular tourism centers in Spain, Barcelona is connected to various places in the world through Barcelona–El Prat Airport – one of the busiest airports in the country in terms of passenger traffic. There are several options for the transportation to the airport, located 12 km. away from the city center.

There are two separate bus lines taking off from two terminal buildings of the airport. Public busses named Aerobus might be preferred for an economic journey to the city center. The bus lines called A1 and A2 are leaving at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 buildings respectively. Both lines are leading to Espanya and Catalunya squares in the city center. Operating between 06:00 am and 00:00 am, these busses are replaced by bus lines called N16 and N17 after the midnight.
You might reach to the city center by taking the suburban train line, R2 at the airport. You might transfer to other train lines to reach to other parts of the city inexpensively.
By taking a taxi at the terminal exit, you might easily reach to any part of the city. It is advisable to ask and negotiate about the prices prior to taking the taxi. The transportation to the city center by taxi approximately lasts 30 minutes.
It is possible to rent a car through car rental offices inside the airport or online booking services. You should keep in mind that the city is facing a traffic problem.
