Transportation from City Center to Penang International Airport

One of the busiest airports in Malaysia, Penang International Airport is located on Penang Island near Bayan Lepas, 18 km south of downtown Georgetown. Although the facility, which was built in 1935, was destroyed by the wars, it has been renovated many times since 1970 and enlarged by adding new buildings. Domestic and international flights are organized from the airport to destinations such as Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Knokke Het Zoute, Jakarta, Banda Aceh, Bangkok, Surabaya, Langkawi, Malacca and Phuket.

The airport, which has a single two-storey terminal building, has an arrivals terminal on the ground floor and an outgoing passenger terminal on the second floor. There are many restaurants and cafes in the terminal, as well as a duty-free shop for both arriving and departing passengers. There are 3 baggage claim belts in the arrivals terminal. Both short-term and long-term parking spaces are available in the parking area just outside Penang Airport. In the parking area where the first hour is free, there is a charge of RM 2 per hour up to 24 hours. Denpasar International Airport, also known as Ngurah Rai International Airport, is located in Denpasar, the capital city of Bali and the largest city of Indonesia and Bali Island. The airport is located 13 km south of Denpasar. Ngurah Rai International Airport is the third busiest airport in Indonesia.

There are several ways to reach the city center from Denpasar International Airport. The most used ones are buses, taxis, hotel transfer services and car rental.

The most economical way to go from the airport to the city center is to use buses. The name of the bus cooperative in Denpasar is Sarbagita. Two of the three buses stop at the airport. The route of Corridor VIII running between Tabanan and the Airport is Terminal Pesiapan Tabanan, Terminal Mengwi, Kapal, Sempidi, Jalan Cargo, Jalan Mahendradata, Jalan Soputan, Imam Bonjol, Sunset Road, Bali Ngurah Rai Airport. The busses in the form of rings always return on the same route. Buses departing every 15 minutes serve between 05.00 and 21.00 in the morning. You can find these buses at the exit of the international arrivals terminal.

Another way to get to the city center is to use taxis. While the taxis here carry a fixed fee to certain places, you can try your luck at bargaining for other points.

Some hotels have transfer services. You can easily reach your destination by making a reservation before your trip. In some hotels, the transfer may even be included in the accommodation fee.

You can rent a car and go to the city center by visiting car rental companies such as Hertz, Europcar, AVIS, Budget and Sixt at the airport.
