Palma de Mallorca is located on the island of Majorca, in the Balearic Archipelago in Spain. Located on the eastern coast of Spain, in the Western Mediterranean, the island is flooded by holidaymakers, especially in the summer months, as the Mediterranean climate prevails. Palma de Mallorca Airport, formerly called Son Sant Joan Airport, is located approximately 8 km south of the city. It is the third largest airport in Spain after Madrid-Barajas and Barcelona International airports. Palma de Mallorca Airport is one of the busiest airports in Europe during the summer months.
You can choose one of the bus, hotel transfer services, taxi and car rental options to reach the airport from Palma city center.
The most convenient way to reach the airport from the city center may be to use the buses, which cost only 3 Euros one way. Line 1 serves between the airport and the main tourist attractions in the city center. In addition, buses that you can take from the coastal road depart every 15 minutes.
Line 21, on the other hand, provides service between the airport and many hotels on Palma beach. These buses, where the tickets are again 3 Euros, depart every 30 minutes.
You can also reach the airport by using the paid or free shuttle services of the hotels. For this, contact your hotel in advance.
A quick and comfortable way to reach the airport is to use taxis. Do not forget to ask for an invoice in case of any situation.

Transportation from Asturias Airport to the City Center
Asturias Airport (OVD) is the only international airport in Spain's Asturias region. It serves more than one city with its location right in the middle. These cities also include Avilés, Gijón and Oviedo.
You can go to Avilés, Gijón and Oviedo by buses departing from the airport. Some of these lines also stop in Piedras Blancas and Salinas. You can check which line you should take, when the buses leave and their fares on the official website of the bus company and on the mobile phone application.
As soon as you leave the airport from the arrivals floor, you will see the airport taxi stop. You can just go and get the next taxi without doing anything else. While taxis here have fixed prices for Aviles, Gijón, Oviedo and Piedras Blancas, they open taximeters for other destinations.
The night schedule operates after 22:00 until 07:00 in the morning, after 15:00 on Saturdays and on public holidays. You can get more detailed information about prices, routes and contact numbers of taxi companies from the airport's official website.
Although applications such as Uber and Cabify are widely used in many other cities of Spain, this service is not yet available in Asturias and its surroundings as of the second half of 2022. That's why airport taxis are your only option. Taxis are charged according to the distance. You have to pay the fare in the taximeter.
A fee slip is also provided upon request. Before getting into the taxi, clarify your destination and make sure to agree with the taxi driver how much you will pay on average. Make a note of the license plate of the taxi, just in case.
Since there are so many places to see in Asturias, you can also consider the option of renting a car from the airport. There are offices of four companies (Avis, Europcar, OK Mobility and Sixt) at the airport terminal. When you get off the plane, you can rent your car from these offices and go to the city center.
Thus, you plan and visit many places such as Mirador del Fitu, Bufones de Pría, Calle de Gascona, Senda del Oso, Gijon Aquarium at your own pace.
You can click on the airport's website for the contact numbers of car rental companies.
