One of Turkey's most impressing cities Mardin is located in the Southeastern Anatolian Region. Operating since 1999, Mardin Airport is 20 km away from the city center. Bingöl Airport is located in Çeltiksuyu village, 20 km from the city center. The airport, which was started to be built in 1995, was stopped in 2001 due to obstacles related to landforms and was re-tendered in 2010 and construction began. The airport, which is in the civilian category, has been serving since 2013. Turkish Airlines has daily Istanbul and Ankara flights, and Pegasus Airlines has Medina flights from the airport, which can be considered small.
