Transportation from Algiers International Airport to the City Center
Algeria, one of the largest cities in Africa, is the capital and largest city of the country with the same name. In the city, which came under Ottoman rule in the 1500s, the traces of the French colonialism can be seen today. The city, which has a coast to the Mediterranean in the north, is connected to Spain by the sea. The only airport in the city of Algiers is named after the former president of Algeria and is called Houari Boumediene Airport or Algiers International Airport. Located 17 km southeast of the city, the airport has two terminals, domestic and international.
In order to reach the city center from Algiers Airport, which is approximately 17 km from the city, there are public transportation such as buses and metro, as well as taxi and car rental options.
