Transportation from Christchurch Airport to City Center
Located on the Canterbury plains, Christchurch is the largest city in the South Island of New Zealand and has a very busy international airport.
Christchurch Airport is located in the Harewood Neighborhood, 12 km northwest of the city centre. There are public transportation, taxi, shuttle and private vehicle options to get to the city from the airport, which was opened in 1940.
