Located in Lahore, the Sultan Mosque is the fifth largest mosque in the world and the second largest in Pakistan. Lahore Fort, which is an important structure of the city, was built between 1556 and 1605 by the Mughal emperor Akbar Shah. Apart from the Alemgir Gate, which is a magnificent gate added to the castle by Alemgir Shah, there are two more gates used by the soldiers and the people who came to the castle. Mirrored Palace is an enormous structure inside the castle. This section, in which thousands of mirrors and glass are used, was added to the castle in 1631. The palace draws attention with its paintings and white marbles as well as mirrors. Apart from these, there are many sections in the Lahore Fortress, such as the Divan-ı Commons and the harem room specially built for Shah Cihan. The castle, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, is open to visitors every day of the week with its unique Lahore view and structures that shed light on history.
