Lahore, which is an important military base as well as being an industrial, commercial and cultural center on the banks of the Ravi River, is a city whose establishment dates back to ancient times. The city, which was captured by the Ghaznavids in the 11th century and by the Gurkanid State in the 12th century, developed during this period and gained great importance in terms of politics and culture, and joined the territory of the Indo-Mongol Empire in 1524. Akbar and Cihangir, rulers of the empire, resided in Lahore. Although the Sikh King Ranjit Singh made Lahore the capital in 1765, the city came under British rule in 1849 and became the center of Punjab Province in 1970. In the city, which is the starting point of the railways extending to the inner parts of the country, gold and silver processing is highly developed. It became an important weaving city as the region where it was founded was suitable for agriculture. Lahore has a rich history spanning a millennium and is home to the University of Punjab and the Engineering and Technical University of West Pakistan as a cultural center.

Located in Lahore, the Sultan Mosque is the fifth largest mosque in the world and the second largest in Pakistan. Built by the Mughal emperor Alemgir Shah, this magnificent mosque has a congregation capacity of more than 100,000. The mosque, which rises right across the Lahore Fort, is one of the most important historical monuments of the city. Another reason that makes the mosque, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, special is that it hosts the tomb of Pakistan's national poet Muhammad Iqbal. In addition, the grave of poet Muhammed Iqbal is in the garden of the mosque. Pakistan's 5000-year history is exhibited in Lahore Museum. B.C. The museum, which sheds light on the history of Pakistan dating back to 3000 BC, is the largest museum in Pakistan. The museum, which has 18 separate galleries, is visited by an average of 5 thousand people per day. The Golden Mosque or Sunehri Masjid can be visited together with the Kashmir Market. This mosque, which draws a magnificent image with its three golden domes and 54-meter minarets on all four sides, dates from 1753. İnci Mosque, on the other hand, was completed in 1635, the construction of which took 5 years. It got this name because the white marbles shine like pearls. Wazir Khan Mosque is located in the historical part of the city, a few hundred meters from the Delhi Pass. Shown as one of the most beautiful mosques in Pakistan, the building was built by Vezir Khan in 1634 during the reign of Shah Jahan.
Lahore Fort, which is an important structure of the city, was built between 1556 and 1605 by the Mughal emperor Akbar Shah. Apart from the Alemgir Gate, which is a magnificent gate added to the castle by Alemgir Shah, there are two more gates used by the soldiers and the people who came to the castle. Mirrored Palace is an enormous structure inside the castle. This section, in which thousands of mirrors and glass are used, was added to the castle in 1631. The palace draws attention with its paintings and white marbles as well as mirrors. Apart from these, there are many sections in the Lahore Fortress, such as the Divan-ı Commons and the harem room specially built for Shah Cihan. The castle, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, is open to visitors every day of the week with its unique Lahore view and structures that shed light on history.

Food & Drink and Shopping
The basic ingredients used in traditional Pakistani cuisine are meat, vegetables, rice, bread and legumes. Rice can be consumed plain boiled or cooked with vegetables and red and white meats. But spices, which are the most dominant and indispensable element of food culture, play the leading role.
