Transportation from the City Center to Corfu Airport

Corfu, or Ioannis Kapodistrias International Airport, is the only international airport on the Greek island of Corfu. The island has become an attractive tourism destination thanks to its proximity to other European countries and its magnificent natural beauties, and therefore the airport is very crowded and busy, especially in summer. Fortunately, transportation from the city center to the airport is very easy.

Bus line 15 is your only public transportation option to get to the airport. This line departs from Corfu Port, where cruise ships also dock, and arrives at Corfu Airport, passing first through San Rocco Square and then through the intercity bus terminal. If you get on from the port, the road takes an average of 4 km and takes 8-10 minutes under normal traffic conditions.

If you don't want to take the bus, your remaining options are taxi and private transfer. If you are going to use a taxi, you can take the next taxi from any stop, as Uber and similar transportation applications have not been used in the city yet.

Or your hotel can call one for you. If you are crowded and want to use a private transfer, you can book a private transfer from a reliable website or tourism agency and go to the airport comfortably from the door of your hotel.

Since Corfu Airport is only 2.5 km from Corfu city center, some tourists even walk this distance. It can be considered as a possible option if you don't have a suitcase or if it's light and the sun has softened a bit. If you have decided to walk, we recommend that you do not neglect your water, hat and sunscreen.

Transportation from Venice Marco Polo Airport to the City Center

There are sea bus (vaporetto), train, bus, taxi and car rental services among options to get to the city center (7 km) from Venice Marco Polo Airport.

One of the most affordable methods for those who want to prefer public transportation from the airport to the city center is the municipal bus. The journey takes 25 minutes with the ACTV buses that go up to Rome Square. It is possible to find tickets for the buses, which operate between 04:00 in the morning and 00:00 at midnight, at the airport. Another bus company serving Venice city center is ATVO. The journey takes about 30 minutes by bus, which operates between 07:30 in the morning and 00:00 at midnight.

One of the best ways to go to the Venetian Islands from the airport quickly and pleasantly is by sea buses. The sea buses called Vaporetto have 3 different routes. You can buy tickets from the pier, which can be reached after a 7-8 minute walk from the terminal exit.

In order to reach the city center by train from Venice Airport, you first need to go to the train station by another vehicle. Mestre and Santa Lucia stations are the nearest train stations.

You can easily get to the city center by taxi, which you can use from the airport arrivals terminal. Fixed fares are usually charged on routes with the last stop of Roma Square and Mestre.

You can get car rental service from companies that have offices at the airport or by making a reservation online. Water taxis, which provide private service between the canals, are also among the options.
