Transportation from the City Center to Havana Airports
Havana, the capital of Cuba, has two flight areas, Jose Marti International Airport and Playa Baracoa Airport. Jose Marti International Airport, which connects Havana with the world, is known as the largest airspace in the country. Approximately 4 million passengers visit the airport annually.
Transportation from City Center to Jose Marti International Airport
The distance between the city center and Jose Marti International Airport is approximately 18 kilometers. Those who want to go to the airport from the city center prefer transportation options such as train, taxi, bus and car rental.
Those who want to go to the airport by public transportation can take the buses that depart every 30 minutes between 10:00 and 22:00, but it is not recommended for guests coming to Havana to use the bus because of the crowded and irregular departure times. In addition, you have to walk about two kilometers to get to the area where the bus stops are located. It is possible to reach the airport in 20-25 minutes by using the taxis in the city center instead of the bus.
You can also go to the airport by taking the train from Havana Central Train Station. Another alternative for airport transportation is car rental. Rental offices in the city center or the airport are very helpful to tourists in this sense.

Transportation from Curaçao Airport to the City Center
Curaçao or Hato International Airport is the only airport of Curaçao Island and is located approximately 12 km from the capital, Willemstad.
You don't have many options to go to Curaçao city center from Curaçao Airport. Therefore, the first thing you should do is check whether the hotel you are staying at offers free airport shuttle service. If they do, you're lucky, if they don't, your remaining options are taxis or local buses.
From here you can take the buses called Konvoii. These buses go from the airport to Otrobanda and Punda, which are neighborhoods of the city of Willemstad. At the last stop of the bus, you can find vehicles going to other parts of the island, and you can go further by changing vehicles. You can pay the ticket price on the bus to the driver in cash. The distance between them is 15 kilometers on average and the journey takes about 40 minutes.
The routes and timetables of these buses are written on the signs at the bus stops. However, you can assume that the flights operate every hour between 07.00 in the morning and 23.00 in the evening on weekdays and less frequently on weekends.
You can also use the minibuses that go to the crowded parts of the island by going to the main road. You can recognize these minibuses by the word BUS on their plates. There is also a sign on the window of the minibus, just like in our minibuses, with the route it goes on, and they stop when you raise your hand. The ticket fee is paid in cash and to the driver.
As of 2022, when this article was written, Uber or a similar transportation app is not working in Curaçao yet. That's why your only option is local taxis. You can find a 24/7 taxi from the airport to the city centre. Although taxis here do not have a taximeter, there are predetermined amounts for certain routes. That's why you have to ask how much you will pay and agree on the price before you get in the taxi.
The distance of 15 km takes about 20 minutes. It is worth noting that if you take a taxi between 23.00 and 06.00 in the morning, or if you take a taxi with more than 4 people, the taxi fare increases by 25 percent and the drivers expect a 10 percent tip in addition to the taxi fare.
