Transportation from the City Center to Freetown International Airport
Freetown, the capital of the country of Sierra Leone, is home to the fourth largest natural harbor in the world. The Sierra Leone River runs between the country's only international airport, Lungi Airport, and Freetown. Therefore, you can use both the waterway and the highway to reach the airport, which is 21 km away from the Freetown city center.
Getting to the airport from Aberdeen, the center of Freetown, can be a difficult and unsafe journey. You can reach the airport by using the public transport ferry, private transfer boats or buses used by the local people.

Located 28 km away from the city center, it's possible to get to the city center by getting a taxi from terminal exits in about 30-50 minutes depending on the traffic density and your destination. There's an opening fee and a fixed fee for every km in taximeters in Ankara. It's standard for 24 hours.
Belkoair buses operate between the Airport, Kızılay, Ulus, Sıhhiye and AŞTİ (Bus Station). Belkoair buses departure in every 30 minutes from 5AM to midnight and in every hour from midnight to 5AM. They operate between AŞTİ (Bus Station)-Kızılay-Airport line.
Municipality's public bus EGO is also among options. EGO operated between Airport and Bus Station (AŞTİ) with its bus number 442-3 in every 30 minutes for 24 hours.
