Şanlıurfa GAP Airport is located 35 km away from the city center. Constructed in 10 years, this airport is operated by DHMİ. Having the longest airport runway of Turkey, there're flights to Saudi Arabia from this airport for the duty of pilgrimage. There're direct flights here from Istanbul and Ankara everyday of the week and from Izmir on Mondays and Saturdays, reciprocatively.
It's possible to get to the GAP airport with taxi, private car, public bus and HAVAŞ shuttle services. The terminal has a parking lot with 500 car capacity. HAVAŞ shuttles departure 25 minutes after the arrival of the flight.
