Transportation from Curacao City Center to Curacao Airport
Curaçao International Airport is the only airport on the island of Curaçao and is located approximately 12 km from the island's capital, Willemstad. Taxi, bus and minibus are among your options to go from the city center to the airport.
You can take the buses known as Konvoii, which pass through Otrobanda and Punda, which are neighborhoods of the city of Willemstad. These buses cover the 15-kilometer distance to the airport in approximately 40 minutes. You can find the routes and timetables on the signs at the bus stops.
However, you can plan by considering that the flights start at 07.00 in the morning and end at 23.00 in the evening, and the frequency of once an hour on weekdays becomes less frequent on weekends. You can pay the ticket price on the bus to the driver in cash only.
You can also use the minibuses that pass through the heavy traffic areas of the island to go to the airport. Since BUS is written on the plates of these minibuses, you can easily distinguish them. In addition, there is a sign on the window of the minibus, just like in our minibuses, written by the direction it is going to. The ticket fee is paid in cash only to the driver.
There is no Uber or similar transportation app in Curacao yet. That's why local taxis remain the only option. You can find a taxi 24/7 in the city center. Since there are no taximeters in the taxis here, you need to talk and agree how much it will cost to your destination before the journey starts.
The 15 km distance to the airport takes about 20 minutes. Taxi prices increase by 25 percent between 23.00 at night and 06.00 in the morning under the name of night tariff. In addition, if you get into the vehicle with more than 4 people, you pay 25 percent more. It is worth noting that the drivers expect a 10 percent tip in addition to the taxi fare, regardless of the day or night tariff.
Transportation from Ankara Esenboğa Airport to City Center
Connecting the capital Ankara to the rest of the world, Ankara Esenboğa Airport is open to air traffic since 1955. Having many direct flight opportunities for both domestic and international flights, this airport is among the most environmentalist and modern terminals of Turkey. Located on the borders of Akyurt and Çubuk counties, transportation from the airport to the city center is carried out by land.
You can use public buses, Belkoair shuttles, taxis and car rental opportunities in order to get to the city center from Ankara Esenboğa Airport. Located 28 km away from the city center, it's possible to get to the city center by getting a taxi from terminal exits in about 30-50 minutes depending on the traffic density and your destination. There's an opening fee and a fixed fee for every km in taximeters in Ankara. It's standard for 24 hours.
Belkoair buses operate between the Airport, Kızılay, Ulus, Sıhhiye and AŞTİ (Bus Station). Belkoair buses departure in every 30 minutes from 5AM to midnight and in every hour from midnight to 5AM. They operate between AŞTİ (Bus Station)-Kızılay-Airport line.
Municipality's public bus EGO is also among options. EGO operated between Airport and Bus Station (AŞTİ) with its bus number 442-3 in every 30 minutes for 24 hours.
