Transportation from the City Center to Brisbane BNE Airport
Airtrain is the most preferred, economical and fast alternative to reach the airport from Bribane city center. These trains run every 15 minutes during peak hours and every 30 minutes during normal times. Trains run between 05.04 - 22.04 on weekdays and between 06.04 - 22.04 on weekends.
No cash payments are accepted on trains. You can buy the tickets for the trains from the toll booths or get on them using your Translink Go card. Transportation from Colombo Airport to City Center
The distance between Colombo city center and Bandaranaike Airport is 32 kilometers. The lack of public transportation culture in Sri Lanka narrows the transportation methods. There are no other possibilities other than car rental, taxi and bus.
Buses are the most economical option to go from Bandaranaike Airport to the city center. Buses numbered 187-E3 depart from the terminal exit gate. It reaches the city center in 30 minutes. Buses run until midnight.
