Transportation from City Center to Asunción Airport
The most economical way to reach the airport from the City Center is to take the blue or green number 30 bus, which operates on the Avenidad Mariscal López or Avenidad España road. Since buses with the same line number in Paraguay can go to the same place by using different roads, number 30 operating on both roads arrives at the airport as the final destination.
The journey takes between 40 minutes and an hour depending on the traffic situation. You pay the ticket fee to the driver in cash. These buses run between 05.00 in the morning and 22.00 in the evening and drop you off at a stop approximately 300 meters from the airport.
After a short 5-minute walk from here, you arrive at the airport terminal. If you are carrying a large and large suitcase, it is recommended to take a taxi instead of this bus.
Asunción has an extensive taxi network, including transportation apps such as Uber and Bolt. If you want, you can take a taxi from the road, negotiate and get on, or you can call a vehicle from the application as a safer option.
Thus, you neither deal with cash nor try to tell the driver where you are going. It takes an average of 25 minutes to get to the airport, which is about 12 km away. Taxis only accept cash, and a 30 percent night rate is added between 10:00 pm and 06:00 am. Just in case, it is recommended that you note down the license plate when you take a taxi.
Comfortable door-to-door airport transfer is also an option. You can quickly book a transfer from your hotel's reception or the websites of professional agencies and get to Asunción Airport very quickly and comfortably.
