Transportation from Linz Airport to the City Center
Linz Airport is an international airport located in Linz, Austria. Also called “Blue Danube Linz Airport”, the airport is 13 km from Linz city centre, 11 km from the central train station and 1.5 km from Hörsching train station. Seasonal flights are organized from Linz Airport to the capital city Vienna only. In abroad, scheduled flights are organized to Düsseldorf and Frankfurt at all times of the year, and charter flights are organized to Burgas, Rhodes, Antalya, Crete and Palma de Mallorca during the summer period. Bus
It is possible to reach the city center by bus number 601 from the airport. Buses departing from the airport end at the central train station and the journey takes approximately 22 minutes. Buses operate between 05.10 – 20.30 on weekdays, 05.10 – 18.30 on Saturdays and 08.30 – 18.30 on Sundays. The ticket price is 3.20 euros per person for adults and 1.60 euros for children.
Airport Shuttle Vehicles
There is no direct shuttle service from Linz Airport to Linz city center. However, Hörsching Train Station, which is 1.5 km away from the airport, can be reached by free shuttle vehicles. The journey from the airport to Hörsching Train Station takes 3 minutes with the shuttles operating between 05.00 and 22.00. You can reach the city center by taxi, which you can find outside the arrivals terminal at the airport. Taxi fare varies depending on where you are going. A taxi ride from the airport to Linz Central Station costs 30 euros, while the city center costs 35 euros. The journey to the city center takes 15 minutes.
