Transportation from Gan International Airport to the City Center
Gan International Airport is located on Gan Island in the city of Addu in the south of Maldives. The airport, which bears the same name as the island, is only 1 kilometer away from the city center. Gan International Airport, which is used as a domestic flight in the Maldives, is operated only from Colombo, Sri Lanka, outside the island. To go to the island, you need to use other airports in Maldives and transfer to Gan International Airport from there. The airport, which was built by the British in the 1950s and later transferred to the Maldivian Government, continues to be developed to serve international flights. The airport is currently only effectively used in the southern region of Maldives. There are different alternatives to reach Gan Island center or other locations close to the island from Gan Airport.
Bus
